Art of Artless Portraiture
Cracked glasses lens in a surpassingly beautiful frame. Empty canvas mounted on the wall. Red bird trapped behind a drainage grate in a midsummer rainstorm.
You have captured the beauty of an artless accident. Because sometimes the unintentional comes out twice as good. Or in the instance of the canvas, sometimes it is the things left unsaid that communicate the most. Natural, observational truth. That is what this poem looks like to me.
